Experiment Tracker

Assumption testing is a great way to by explicit about your assumptions as to why a proposed Solution will adequately address an Opportunity and ultimately have the intended Outcome.

Vistaly allows teams to create enumerate their Assumptions and create Experiments to test them.

The Experiment Tracker view makes it easy to quickly see the status of these Assumptions and Experiments.

Every solution comes with a set of assumptions:

  • Desirability assumptions – Do people want it, and will they use it?
  • Feasibility assumptions – Can it be built?
  • Usability assumptions – Will people know how to use it?
  • Viability assumptions – Does it make sense for the rest of the business?
  • Ethical assumptions – Should it be built?

Tip: Validating high-risk assumptions critical to a solution’s success is a worthwhile exercise and can save time, money, reputation, and more.

After identifying high-risk assumptions, add experiments to help de-risk the solution. In the roadmap view, each experiment displays under its corresponding assumption.
