Discovery Interviews
Interviewing customers and prospects is the most effective way for product teams to gain deeper Insight into their customers’ real goals, needs, and current pain points.
Unlike usability testing, customer interviews are exploratory in nature, making them great for discovering underlying customer challenges and opportunities. Discovery-focused customer interviews help uncover real stories, helping teams understand not just what customers do today but the why behind their actions.
Ultimately, continuously interviewing customers makes it easier to find the recurring themes and patterns that matter (opportunities). Understanding opportunities helps align teams and prioritize the work that creates real customer and business value.
