What is Vistaly?

Vistaly helps Product teams make better decisions about what to build by giving them the tools they need to focus on Outcomes over Outputs.

This helps them better identify the leading indicators (i.e. customer behaviors) that drive business results, and focus their efforts on improving those leading indicators.

When you create an account with Vistaly, an organization and a workspace are created for you.

Inside each workspace, there are four main views:

Tree View

The Tree View is where everything in Vistaly connects.

  • Strategies come together visually
  • Outcomes, goals, and key metrics/KPIs are defined
  • Discovery is captured and visualized
  • Solutions identified, and tested

Updating cards in the Tree View automatically keeps all other views in sync.

Roadmap View

Roadmap

Use the Roadmap View to communicate the Product team’s priorities to the rest of the company:

  • Which solutions your team is actively developing now
  • Which customer problems (opportunities) you have committed to solving in the near future

Report View

Report

The Report View provides a portfolio-level view of multiple teams progress towards their Outcomes.

This view is mainly for leaderships to quickly understand which Outcomes are on-track and which need additional attention.

Creating a Workspace

Your first workspace is automatically created for you when you start a free trial. While on trial, you’ll have unlimited access to the product.

Step 1: Structuring Your Workspace

Properly structuring your Vistaly workspace is crucial for two reasons:

  1. The value of Vistaly is in connecting your team’s day-to-day product work to meaningful business outcomes. A well-structured workspace makes these connections clear.
  2. Without it, your Opportunity-Solution Trees will get big and unwieldy. Giving your workspace some stucture allows you to focus on fewer, more impactful opportunities at a time.
